About the Role

We are looking for a trained mental health clinician, licensed to operate independently with an operational background in digital health. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the patient admissions process across multiple states. Additionally, you will collaborate with growth leadership to create standard operating procedures for this process to be compliant with regulations and licensing requirements in each of the states that we are in. You will report to the VP of Growth Operations. You will work closely with the VP of Patient Care and the patient care teams, who are responsible for the patient’s care once admitted.

You will be responsible for identifying your team’s operational needs and meeting them as our volume of patient referrals increases over time. You will be responsible for supporting your operational team in making decisions that are clinically sound. You will approach clinical eligibility with curiosity and respect, understanding that the patients referred to us—whether they are eligible for our program or not—are vulnerable and often very ill. You will maintain a desire to partner with Flourish’s subject matter experts to ensure safe patient experiences during their acquisition journey with Flourish.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide Clinical Oversight & Consultation:
  • Oversee consultations within the admissions team, ensuring accurate assessments and eligibility decisions
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to admissions team members, helping them navigate complex cases with sound clinical judgment.
  • Manage case escalation protocols, making informed decisions on when to elevate cases to clinical leadership to ensure patient safety and appropriate care.
  • Conduct up to 20 hours of patient consultations per week as needed
• Lead Your Team:
  • Provide people management to admissions team, ensuring high standards of patient care and adherence to best practices.
  • Cultivate a positive, growth-oriented team culture that values continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Quality reviews and provide feedback when needed
• Demonstrate Operational Excellence:
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies to the VP of growth operations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate admissions processes with broader organizational strategies and compliance requirements.

Role Requirements:

• Licensed mental health professional, with 10+ years of experience practicing independently, eligible to provide patient care
  • Professional with 8+ years of people management experience
  • Professional with 5+ years of digital health operations startup experience
• Willing to be licensed in over a dozen states
• Able to work one evening per week (clinical leaders rotate being on call for evening patient care hours)
