We are a mission-driven, rapidly growing company committed to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes, building strong partnerships, and making high-quality mental healthcare accessible to those who need it most.
About the Role
Flourish Health is seeking a Director, Health Plan Success to lead and strengthen relationships with our existing contracted health plan partners.
This individual will serve as the primary strategic relationship manager for a portfolio of Medicaid managed care organizations, ensuring that our health plan partners experience exceptional service, understand the clinical and financial value of Flourish, and view us as a trusted, long-term partner.
The Director will be responsible for partner satisfaction, relationship management, contract performance and retention within existing health plan accounts. The Director will own the full post-sales health plan lifecycle, beginning with late-stage contracting and implementation, and continuing through ongoing relationship management, contract performance, retention, and account expansion. Crucially, the Director will collaborate with the Growth team to maximize referrals from existing health plan accounts.
The ideal candidate combines strong relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of Medicaid managed care, behavioral health, exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, and a passion for improving outcomes for young people with serious mental health needs.
This is a highly visible, cross-functional role with meaningful opportunities to influence Flourish’s growth and long-term impact.

Ensure health plan partners experience Flourish as a responsive, reliable, collaborative, and high-performing organization.
2. Contract Performance & Partner Success
Own the overall success of existing health plan partnerships, ensuring Flourish meets contractual commitments and delivers a consistently excellent partner experience.
Build and maintain power/preference chart for each existing health plan, ensuring Flourish has buy-in at multiple levels of each partner.
Develop and maintain account success plans with clear objectives, performance metrics, stakeholder maps, and action items.
Monitor key partnership metrics, including referrals, admissions, patient engagement, clinical outcomes, utilization, and operational performance.
Partner with internal clinical, growth, and operations leaders to identify and resolve barriers to contract performance.
Coordinate cross-functional responses to health plan questions, escalations, and performance concerns.
Ensure issues are addressed promptly, with clear accountability, communication, and follow-through.
Identify potential contract renewal risks early and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
3. Outcomes Reporting & Demonstrating Value
Lead the preparation and presentation of regular performance reports, joint operating committee meetings and quarterly business reviews for health plan partners.
Strong command of data outcomes reporting. Translate clinical outcomes, utilization trends, patient experience data, and financial impact into compelling, actionable insights.
Partner with Clinical Leadership, Finance, Data, and Product teams to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting.
Demonstrate Flourish’s impact on hospitalizations, emergency department utilization, residential treatment, and other relevant outcomes.
Help health plan partners understand the populations Flourish serves best and the value our intervention provides.

Identify recurring partner needs and recommend scalable processes, tools, and systems to support Flourish’s growing portfolio of health plan relationships.
6. Health Plan Implementation & Launch
Lead the implementation and launch of new health plan contracts, serving as the primary owner of implementation once a prospective contract reaches approximately 80% likelihood of execution.
Partner closely with the CEO during the late-stage contracting process to understand contractual commitments, build relationships with key stakeholders, and proactively prepare for implementation.
Develop and execute comprehensive implementation plans, coordinating internal teams and health plan stakeholders to ensure timely, successful launches.

Provide regular implementation updates to executive leadership, highlighting progress, risks, decisions needed, and launch readiness.
Ensure a seamless transition from implementation to ongoing account management, maintaining continuity in health plan relationships and accountability for contract performance.
